MATTHEW GOBLE

In November I along with my partner in design (Matthew Rouser) joined, created a project and subsequently won an OpenIDEO competition on creating vibrancy in cities that have hit economic hardships. Our concept OpenCity took the principles of open source and applied them to shared place-making. We have been busy at work getting out in front of city officials, developers and other interested parties gauging the level of excitement over the possibilities OpenCity could make. Gauging on everyone’s responses we have developed it further and are in the process of creating a prototype and meeting with several partners to create test cases. 

Changing the name from OpenCity to CityAPI. You can bet you will hear from us soon about this new venture.

Also with April starts Baseball… not that MLB stuff, Malmö baseball! I’m excited. If you have some time you should come down to the Limhamn athletic fields and watch us play. First game is May 6th at 12:00.

Things have happened since my last post (obviously).

Partly Cloudy released it’s first app in both iPhone and iPad versions; called Shapez Match and Shapez Match HD respectively.

Also William turned 2, took a trip to the US in August saw my new niece, Emelie and finished my first (maybe only, not sure yet) Marathon in Berlin on Sept 25th!

Well, after a couple of months of learning how to program and making and testing we are soon ready to release our first iphone app! It should hit the iphone app store in the next couple of weeks with updates coming later in summer (aug/sept) and an iPad version, hopefully sometime in July. Been quite a learning experience but also lots of fun! Cross your fingers that all goes well with the approval process and keep your eyes out for the announcement.

This is the start of my new website, hopefully it will be a little less blog and a little more portfolio. If this winter keeps going like this, I might have a lot of content soon. Keep coming back!
